Welcome and Namasté! Thanks for stopping by our website. The spiritual principles that we explore and use at Religious Science Baltimore are timeless and eternal. They're part of every true spiritual teaching, and can be found in the core beliefs of every religion. As a metaphysical New Thought church, RSB explores those principles through a teaching called Religious Science, or The Science of Mind.

The Science of Mind® is a teaching that has empowered millions to live their lives in a bold and creative way. It is a philosophy that can help you to unleash the creative potential that is within you. It is a way of life that helps all people accomplish their individual goals. More importantly, it helps people realize their true nature!

Very simply, Religious Science teaches that this is a spiritual Universe, and that it is intelligent. It has purpose, beauty, and order. Whether we call it god, nature, spirit, universal life, or even "it", everything that exists is immersed in and unfolds from one infinite spiritual source. That source is within us as well as around us. And as we become increasingly conscious of that source, we discover that we have been one with it all along. What Religious Science teaches is in harmony with the basic tenets of all the world's great religions.

The life we celebrate at RSB is really the One Life. Just as a wave on the ocean is supported by an infinite sea, we are supported and sustained by an infinite reservoir of intelligence, beauty, supply, and power. I invite you to join in celebrating the divine presence within us all. As a community, we are dedicated to revealing the greater truth that is within, and expressing it in every aspect of our lives. About Jeffrey Proctor

While studying for a career in psychobiological research at UCLA, Jeffrey Proctor discovered metaphysical New Thought teachings and became an avid student of the perennial philosophy. Originally from the Los Angeles area, his early training in Religious Science was with Rev. Carol Carnes and Drs. James and Andrea Golden. In August of 1993, he received his license as a Minister of Religious Science and traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee to serve that community.

Under his leadership, the Knoxville Church of Religious Science grew to a thriving church with deep roots and a strong foundation. He led annual spiritual retreats that were well received by the people of East Tennessee. He also brought the teachings of Religious Science to people in rural areas who had never experienced a dynamic and creative teacher in person. He served on the boards of several non profit organizations while in the Knoxville area, and was active in interfaith and hospice programs.

In March of 2000, his vision took him to a new ministry in Maryland, where he became the leader of the Greater Baltimore Church of Religious Science. He had been involved with the community from the very beginning, as he served as the sponsor to Religious Science Baltimore’s founder, the Rev. James Lockard. Under his direction, the community has successfully navigated the shift in leadership, opening up in creative and wonderful ways. His sense of humor and relaxed teaching style continue to bring our teaching to wide numbers of students. As a speaker, he excels at bringing the principles of Religious Science to people on many levels in a playful and inspiring way.

The Baltimore church has grown through his compassionate and powerful leadership; many of his students are powerful leaders themselves. Recently, the church celebrated the licensing of a number of new Professional Practitioners, and the premiere of a cable television show that reaches over a million viewers in the greater Baltimore area.

By teaching from a consciousness of love and insight, his ministry and the community continue to flourish. His own personal practice is deeper than ever; for over 5 years he has sent a daily prayer via email to hundreds of people all over the planet. His vision is to see Religious Science become the teaching it was born to be, and to bring joy to the world by teaching the principles of New Thought.

Rev. Proctor lives in Mount Washington with his partner of over 15 years, Don Gillson. Don is an actor enjoying the opportunities the East Coast offers while working with a major insurance company, counting extremely large piles of money on a daily basis. Also at home is their cat Nora, who's not fat; she's just really fluffy.
