A Typical GoodStart: 

There is only One. This One is god, and I am one with it. This infinite presence of compassion and love is the source of all life, the sustainer of all life, and the power behind everything in the Universe. It is the power in my life, as well.

I know that the Universe responds to my habits of thought and belief, so I regularly take time to till the soil of my mind, keeping my consciousness receptive and ready for bold new ideas about what is possible for me and for the world in which I live. There's simply no room in me for resentment or unforgiveness; there's no room for anger or depression. There's plenty of room for joy and love and peace, however…because I make room for them, every day.

I let the Infinite Intelligence of god go to work on the seed ideas I plant, knowing that while the idea is mine, the growth process belongs to god. I trust this process and the invisible laws guiding it, knowing that what I plant must grow and flourish. Spirit knows how to do what I don't yet know how to do, so I let it. I let god create in me a place of love, of compassion, of understanding, and of potent action for good in my world. I understand the cycle of creation at greater depth today than ever before, and that understanding continues to deepen.

I give thanks for the unfailing power for creation that is always supporting me. I choose my words, thoughts, and beliefs wisely, knowing that each one is a seed in my soul–plot. I tend this plot with diligence and with a sense of deep fulfillment, because Spirit will never let me down. In gratitude, I let this treatment do its work. And so it is.
