Announcements for February

February 5, 2012
Sunday's Talk — “Lessons From Trees”
With Rev. Angelica Taggart

Image of a large redwood tree

Rev. Angelica's message comes from the Jewish holiday of Tu Bishvat ... a celebration of trees. This holiday evokes themes of restoring cosmic blessings by strengthening and repairing the Tree of Life, generally using the physical metaphor of a tree, that is, roots, trunk, branches and leaves.

"May all the sparks scattered by our hands, or by the hands of our ancestors, be returned and included in the majestic might of the Tree of Life."

Music: Alan Peterson
Presiding: Norm Hogeland, RScP
Practitioner:
Junior Church: Sue Monaghan

9:15 am - Meditation
9:30 am - service and junior church

WE'RE MOVING!!

Last Sunday, following the popular opinion of those who visited our possible new location, and after much prayer and discussion ..

Our Board of Trustees voted to move to
the Lutherville Music School.

Conveniently located just north of the Baltimore Beltway at
1313 York Rd.

You can read more about it in the upcoming February newsletter. Our first Sunday in our new location will be April 1st.

Our 2012 MEMBERSHIP & PLEDGE FORMS

We've only received a few pledge & membership forms. Please fill out yours at Sundays service - or respond to this e-mail and we'll mail you one.

We are now doing membership yearly to keep our records current, and of course, we need your pledge (no matter what the amount) to make our budgetary plans.
Total pledged to date: $39,400 per year

Mark your calendars for our Annual Meeting right after the service on February 12.

Hear the "State of the Center" reports and find out the answer to "Are we moving or what?" If you've been thinking about being part of our Leadership Council, have taken SOM 100 (or are willing to take it) and are interested in participating in the business aspects of running our Center, please see Sheri Edwards or one of the ministers by the end of January.

Dance Alchemy

Dance Alchemy is a dance company on a mission to bring dance to every spiritual community and celebration. Using dance as spiritual expression, we draw world rhythms from Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. We learn to dance with affirmation, changing words into movement until words are no longer needed and the movement becomes our personal prayer.

Dancers of all different styles, abilities, levels, body types, and ages are welcome.

Rehearsals will begin Friday, February 3rd from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at 1801 Falls Rd, Suite 2E, Baltimore, MD 21201. Contact Candice Tritch -- candice.tritch@gmail.com or 443-904-6893
