Our Ministers
Ceremonies of the Spirit
We are a community of like-minded individuals who know that it is done unto us as we believe. We believe that our consciousness creates our experience and that our intentions show up in the outer world as form.
Members of the Religious Science Baltimore come from all walks of life. Many are involved in the creative arts as artists, musicians, and writers. A number of members are in the healing profession; many are part of the scientific community. Others are entrepreneurs and business owners. Members come from many different faiths to enjoy the practical and practicable teaching of the Science of Mind, the spiritual and philosophical foundation of the churchs message.
We offer weekly Celebrations of Life, ongoing classes in New Thought, prayer groups, and licensed prayer
partners. Our New
Thought bookstore provides our community with contemporary and classic reading material,
along with inspirational tapes and videos. Rev. Jeffrey Proctor and our
ministerial staff is available for spiritual
counseling, prayer work, weddings, commitment ceremonies, memorials, christenings, and
house blessings.
Most importantly, in our community, you'll find a spiritual home where you can learn and grow. You'll find people who are there to support you through the hard times and celebrate with you in the good ones. The company of others on the spiritual journey is a great blessing, and you're invited to take part in our regular weekly services, ongoing classes, spiritual retreats, and social events.
Please take a stroll through our site and take advantage of the good that's here for you. You can always contact us for more information, or to have questions answered. Below is a short listing of just some of what's available to you at RSB.
You're invited to an inspiring and uplifting Sunday morning every week at
the meeting. The Celebration begins at 10:00 am,
and is a whole new way to experience your own spiritual Self.
If you've worried about church services being too staid and traditional...stop worrying. If you remember the religion of your youth as a never ending harangue of guilt, nonsense, and basket-passing, forget it. We're here to celebrate the truth that has always been true, even before it was codified into a religion. Our minister, the Reverend Doctor Jeffrey Proctor, is an inspiring and gifted speaker who gives from the heart. And he is anything but traditional. We also have a dynamic and exciting music program, with regular guest musicians; you never know what you'll hear! Opera, jazz, ragtime, classics...there's something for everyone.
You'll hear inspiring messages about your possibility and potential. You'll
learn clear and practical ways to live a spiritual life with integrity,
compassion, and joy. You'll be embraced by what Martin Luther King, Jr. called Beloved
Community - a group of people on the path with open minds and open
hearts.
The real reason to come celebrate with us is this: the dream you once had, of the universe being a safe and loving place to be...of people who know how to get along and do it...of a life lived with passion and wonder and joy? It's no dream. We're creating it here, every week...every day. Come visit, and you'll see.
You can also listen to a Sunday lesson or get directions to Padonia Park Club.
Information on how to contact our staff of licensed Religious Science practitioners, who can pray for you in time of need, or just when you want to expand your consciousness.
With regular opportunities for learning about the spiritual principles of the world we live in, classes offer the student of New Thought an opportunity to put into practice these timeless ideas. More than just lectures, classes are an experiential way of driving the message from head to heart.
We have a wonderful Junior Church program for kids 5-12, a teen group for young adults 13-18, and childcare is always available at our Celebrations of Life.
Here's how to locate our Sunday meeting and weekday class locations.
Members of our community gather together informally to go within, to clarify our consciousness, and to experience the presence of the Beloved in meditation. Exploring a broad variety of the world's traditions, you'll experience everything from silent meditation to chanting.
Meeting once a week, these small and intimate groups work together in consciousness through using Spiritual Mind Treatment to support each other in healing and creating their dreams.
